Dawn of the Dead (2004) - Tyler Bates
In 1978, George A. Romero brought us Dawn of the Dead, the
sequel to the hit film Night of the Living Dead. When the film came out, it shocked audiences around the world. The MPAA was going to give it an X rating due to the graphic nature, but George was ableto win that fight.
Now in 2004, we were given not really a remake of Dawn of the Dead, but a reimagining of it. The only think the two films have in
common are a mall and zombies...lots of zombies.
Staying away from the Goblin and stock music from the original,
Tyler Bates was hired to write a frantic and action packed
orchestral score for the film. Layered with synth loops and alot of
brass, the Dawn of the Dead score turned out to be a blast.
This score was only released as a limited promotional cd.

thanks a lot for effort. carry on!!
Thanks very much -- nice post! Great to hear this score outside of the movie.
No problem. Hope you enjoy the scores. Let all your friends now about this page.
Will be posting a new one today. Just have to decide which one. Got 900 score and about half of them are promotional and unreleased scores.
I wish you every success with your post.
I'm pretty sure you don't have the following really rare film scores that I have been hunting for:
Saint Joan (1957) - music by Mischa Spoliansky, and The Seventh Dawn (1964) - music by Riz Ortolani.
But I can always hope...
It's good to see another new face of the block for movie soundtracks. Soo far, soo good. Keep sprending the gems, and thanks.
I'm looking forward to seeing what gems you're going to post. Thanks.
Hi, you choose one of them (makes me happy): "Lust For Life", "Sodoma And Gomorra", "The Ten Commandments", "The Old Man And The Sea", "We're No Angels", "Witchcraft", "The Adventures Of Conan_Sword And Sorcery Spectacular", "The Complete Film Score_Conan The Barbarian", "Escape From The Planet Of The Apes", "The Merchant Of Venice", "Cleopatra", "Cape Fear", "Shogun", "Samson And Delilah", "Lost Horizon", "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland", "King Of Kings"....thanks for your understanding. my friends are in holiday somewere, but i'm going to tell them about you soon. cheers.
"you MAY choose" of course. sorry for my english!!!
Sadly, I have none of those titles you asked for. I'm more into scores from the 90's and up. rarely listen to scores from before them unless they are big scores: Jaws, Star Wars. etc.
First off, excellent post with teh DOTD OST. I've been looking all over for that, so thank you.
Next, a question. Do you by any chance have the soundtracks for Reanimator, Dellamorte Dellamore, From Beyond, or Shawn of the Dead?
Again, thanks for postin' some great stuff so far. I'm diggin' this blog.
I have Reanimator, but none of the other ones. As far as I remember, teh Shaun of the Dead soundtrack only had 1 score cue on it. I think I may have that track somewhere. I'll look for it soon. In the mean time, will be posting a new score tonight. Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks a lot for this promo soundtrack. I hope you keep them coming.
If you could post the Reanimator one sometime down the line, that'd be great.
Thus far though, you're doin' an amazing job (Killer Klowns... would'a never thought I'd be able to find that soundtrack anywhere!)
Keep up the excellent work.
Oh boy!
Thanks a lot!
This one I'll probably like a lot.
Hey! Thanks!
This is an unexpectedly good score.
File expired -- can you repost? I'd love to hear this soundtrack!
I, too, would love a repost. I have several of these tracks from various sources, but have had little to no luck at a full score so far. I love this music!
Would love for someone to repost this score! Awesome blog by the way.
Can you find these scores from the movie Resident Evil? They are extremely rare. Please let me know! My email is joed8686@hotmail.com Thanks!

Thanks for the nice post.
maybe to me this is the worst zombie movies in whole history, why? simple the virus that infect everyone come from nowhere, just appears and infected all person, at least in resident evil saga they explain all the origin of the virus all.
