The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) - Nathan Barr

The Dukes of Hazzard originally aired as a TV show back in 1978 when I was just a wee kid. Dukes of was a great show for the whole family with funny characters. Specially Roscoe P. Coltrane and Boss Hogg and how they interacted with each other.

When it was announced that Warner Bros was going to do a bid budget film adaption of the tv show, I got very excited much like Michael Jackson at Disney Land. After seeing the film, I wanted to rush quickly to Warner Bros and burn down the whole lot. They took a great show and turned it into another dumb teen comedy. Not much about it is Hazzard except for the car. They should have called it "Dude..Where's My Charger?"

The only other thing they got right in the movie was the score. Nathan Barr, who also scored Cabin Fever, Club Dread, and the recent film, Hostel, provided the down home country rock driven score. For a Dukes movie, you know what to expect from the score.

But what we do have hear to listen to is a great score. From the very warm welcoming track called "Welcome to Hazzard" to the rock driven track "Cocktails". There is a bit of something on here for everyone.

So sit back, relax and give a big "yeee haaaaaaaa"
